Let's keep it real.
I mean that literally!
I'm absolutely on board with posed portraits. You know, the ones where everyone is sitting nicely, and smiling big, and magically looking at the camera all at once - but that isn't necessarily real life.

Real life is that shark t-shirt your kid refuses to take off.
Real life is your baby came out covered in hair.
Real life is bribing a two year old with M&Ms just to take one more picture (and then one more after that!)

When you decide to get photographs taken, you are deciding to capture an important moment in your life. Whether it is your wedding day, the birth of a child, or simply a wish to preserve your family just as it is in photos, these are memories you want to have forever. And my favorite memories, are the real ones.
I keep editing simple. If there is something you want edited out of photos, like that scratch your newborn managed to get the night before I arrive or the runny nose your five year old refuses to wipe without a meltdown, I will always do my best. But when it comes to the things that make you and your loved ones you, I generally stay out of it. I don't do any major air brushing or body morphing. I think you and your loved ones are beautiful and my goal is for you to see that in the photos I give you without completely changing you into someone else.

My mission as your photographer is to give you photos that capture the genuine emotions and personality that represent you and your loved ones just as they are. My clients are important to me, and I strive to create a personal connection to each person I interact with during shoots and events. I am not just taking photos of that moment, I am a part of it, and I have a duty to capture it just as it is.
