Baby Shower: Jen and soon to arrive Evelyn

I haven't had the chance to photograph a lot of events so when my coworker Jen asked if I would come to her baby shower to take photos, I was more than willing!

I love doing photo shoots but there is something special about capturing the mood of an event that people want to remember. Weddings are obviously the clearest example of this, but there are a lot of other moments in life that we want to hold on to. Pictures are a way to look back and truly relive the happiness and fun of those moments. I feel honored that I get to capture them.

My cousin Lindsay lives in St. Croix and her profession is photography. She is an incredible photographer and I am constantly going to to her for advice. She does engagement and family shoots, but in a beautiful place like St. Croix, there are weddings galore. She captures some incredible moments- she has even done a birth shoot before! Back to the topic at hand: Jen's baby shower!

It was so nice to see so many people come together for their friend and family member. Jen looked absolutely gorgeous- she really brings the phrase "glowing during pregnancy" to life. She is full of smiles and energy every day.

Her family and friends really did shower her in gifts, and it made everyone so happy. Baby Evelyn is going to be so loved and spoiled!

I'm especially excited because I am going to be doing Evelyn's newborn photos. I can't wait to welcome this little life into the world!
