There might be a photography season, but that doesn't apply to babies. They come whenever they please, and that couldn't make me happier.
On Saturday, I headed up to Mt. Airy with my friend Molly to take maternity pictures for her cousin Alli, and Alli's fiance Joe. Baby Mackenzie's due date is just around the corner, and with a previous labor scare, we thought we might be doing a newborn shoot instead of a maternity shoot! But, she held off and we managed to sneak it in. I had a whole crew with me, and the blustery, chilly weather up on Sugarloaf Mountain did nothing to dim their spirits. Accompanied by Molly and Alli's mom, I might have had one of my smoothest shoots! They cheerfully carried all the props and equipment and helped keep hair and blankets in place in the shot. I was definitely spoiled. How much does an assistant cost anyways? Alli and Jon were great subjects as well. Didn't make a single complaint and are clearly so excited to welcome their baby girl into the world. You can see it in the photos. I really enjoyed spending my day with them!
