I am so excited to write about this session. In fact, I've been excited since June 10th when Krupal and I met up to discuss details, but due to the secret nature of the shoot, I didn't want to take any chances!
A few weeks ago, Krupal contacted me to ask if I was available to take pictures of him and his fiancee Megha. Only, they weren't engaged quite yet. Krupal was planning to propose in a couple of weeks. That is where I came in. I would be taking pictures of the actual proposal. I would start by hiding out while they picnicked by the tidal basin in DC, and then pop out at the right moment to catch the proposal as it happened. Afterwards, we would wander around and take some official engagement shots. I was beyond excited to do this. I love photography because I get to capture love and happiness on camera, and what better moment than a proposal to truly catch those emotions. We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather, and the day went flawlessly. I camped out a few feet away and pretended to take pictures of the classic DC scenery while secretly capturing a few images of the couple as they ate. When Krupal and Megha stood up to go look at the water, I jumped into position and fired away. There are some wonderful shots of Krupal down on one knee in front of Megha with a big smile on her face. Their happiness carried over to our little engagement shoot afterwards. Thanks to Krupal for trusting me with such a big task. I hope I captured the moment as they remember it! I love what I'm seeing int the pictures so far, and I'm so excited to post them!
